Pickleball

INTRODUCTION

There are four permanent Pickleball courts and two multi tennis and pickleball courts making a total of six Pickleball courts.

The Pickleball courts are available for play between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm each weekday.

Some time slots are reserved for members' regular social groups, coaching and special purpose groups.

Club members’ events are not part of the court hire system.

There is a Members' Booking Fee for any casual (outside regular club events) court
booking.

 
COURT BOOKING FEES

Members - $10 per hour/court ($5 /30 min/court) - from 1 July 2025

Non-Members - $25 per hour/court

The minimum hire is one (1) hour.

You can hire a court starting on the hour or on the half hour (e.g. start at 8:00 am for one hour or start at 8:30 am for one hour).

Each person can hire a maximum of two x 1-hour sessions on a court.

ETIQUETTE, TERMS and CONDITIONS

When you enter the site using your booking code, close the entrance gate behind you.

The entrance gate should remain locked while you are playing on the courts.

Vacate courts – It is the responsibility of the hirer to vacate the court at the conclusion of their scheduled time.

Safety - It is a condition of hire that users of the courts undertake to use the facilities in a safe and cautious manner at all times.

QBTC makes no warrant as to the state and condition of the courts and venue.

The courts are hired as they are found by the hirer.

The hirer must inspect playing surfaces and facilities prior to each use to ensure that the surface and facilities are in a safe condition for use.

Debris – It is the responsibility of the hirer to remove any debris from the court before play with the broom or squeegee provided. See QBTC staff for the equipment if necessary.

Footwear - All users must always wear appropriate tennis or pickleball footwear with non-marking soles, preferably white.

No Smoking/ Vaping – Smoking or vaping is not permitted within the venue, including on the courts.

Food or drink – No food or drinks may be taken onto the courts, except for water bottles.

Bicycles/ Skateboards/ Roller blades/ other vehicles – At no time are bicycles, skateboards, roller blades or any other vehicle allowed on the courts, unless approved by QBTC management.

Noise - Early morning and late evening players must be mindful of residents who live nearby and keep noise on the courts to a minimum.

The playing of amplified music while playing is not permitted in consideration of adjoining sports and neighbours.

Pickleball nets – The pickleball nets are permanent and are set at the correct heights. Do not adjust the nets as doing so may cause damage to the nets and mechanisms. If an adjustment is needed, please contact QBTC staff.

Players are to be respectful of players on adjacent courts.

Animals/pets are not permitted on the courts.

Damage - All users of courts must not damage, deface or mark any part of the courts or venue. You agree that you will be fully responsible and liable to the Club for any damage caused by you.

Risk Warning - You acknowledge that by using the tennis and/or pickleball courts, you will be exposed to certain risks, including the risk of physical injury, and that use of the courts is entirely at your own risk. Having read and understood this risk warning you accept and assume the inherent risks in use of the courts.

Release - To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and discharge the Club and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers and agents from all liability in respect of any loss or damage you may suffer from
use of the courts.

QBTC Management

QBTC has Pickleball paddles and balls for hire. If required please contact a staff member.

QBTC does not provide tennis balls or rackets.

QBTC management can, at any time, request the hirers' details to confirm that booking arrangements comply with these terms and conditions.

QBTC makes no warranty as to the state and condition of the premises and courts. The facilities are hired as they are found.

Any maintenance issues should be reported to QBTC.
