New Bowling Club Member Induction

Welcome to the Queenscliff Bowling Club and congratulations on your membership! This guide has been designed to assist you gain the most from your membership; the rest is up to you! Please feel free ask our Committee or any of your fellow bowls members if you have any questions.


We acknowledge and pay respects to the traditional owners, the Wadawurrung people, whose country we are on and we would extend our respects to their Elders, both past and present.

Queenscliff Bowling Club offers an exceptional social and competitive member experience.

Facilities

Bowling Greens
Queenscliff operates 3 world class grass bowling greens with 21 rinks that are all available to members. They are maintained by Head Greens Keeper Adrian Marston and his team. 


Public Bowls
Queenscliff has a number of bowls of all sizes available to the public for practice and social bowls. Please see the Manager, Andrew Simpson or any of friendly hospitality staff for more information.


Locker Room
Queenscliff has separate locker rooms for Men and Ladies which is available to all members to safely store their bowls and clothing.

Coaching and Mentoring Services

Steve Sullivan is the Queenscliff Bowls Club Coach. Steve is recognised throughout the bowling community for his extensive bowling experience, talent and coaching capability and plays as Skip in our Premiers Pennant team. Steve conducts bowls drills at Pennant Practice each Monday and Thursday afternoon in the Pennant season and is only too happy to help if you like one on one coaching assistance from him.


Queenscliff also offers mentoring by highly experienced senior bowlers drawn from across the Club. Mentoring includes advice on Bowls rules, etiquette and, protocols as well as skill techniques and other bowling essentials. Please contact Barry Gladman for further information.

Social Activities

Social Bowls, Club, Regional & State Tournaments
Queenscliff Bowling Club operates a series of club tournaments that cater for all levels and is highly active in Pennant, Regional and State Championship tournaments. We enjoy a successful track record as winners of these events over many years. We are extremely proud of our various Club Tournament and Championship winners, Geelong Region Midweek and Saturday Pennant winners across multiple divisions and our many Regional and State Championship winners.


Queenscliff Bowling Club also offers all members a range of organised social bowls and open day events through the year, including tournaments and between Pennant seasons. These include hosting Ladies Open Day Fours, Couta Classic, Ladies 10 Couta Medley, Men’s ‘Benitos’ 2 Bowl Triples and Anniversary Triples.


Queenscliff Bowls offers coaching with a qualified and accredited coach and operates a mentoring program for all members.
